The Milton Keynes and District Fundraising Branch of Hearing Dogs for Deaf People was formed in February 2007. 

The main role of the  Branch is fundraising. This also helps to spread the word about Hearing Dogs to the public at large, through the availability of literature and the chance to talk to recipients and volunteers. Meeting the pups and trained dogs is also a very valuable PR tool, encouraging many more people to get involved.

Supporters of the group consist of Hearing Dog Recipients, Puppy Socialisers and Volunteers.

We all attend many events and hold collection days throughout the year at various venues within the Milton Keynes area. These fundraising efforts are to raise the much needed funds. They go towards the training of all the puppies and the ongoing cost of maintaining the dog’s welfare when it becomes a working dog. It costs on average £45,000 to train and support a hearing dog throughout its working life.

We are always looking for more people who could spare a little time to join our dedicated group. So if you would like to help us with the collections or at the many shows we attend, we would love to hear from you.
